Tax Relief / Cost of Living
- Eliminated the state sales tax on groceries
- Repealed the state income tax on Social Security benefits
- Lowered state income tax rates and created future, automatic income tax rate reductions tied to inflation that will result in a fair, statewide rate of 4%
- Eliminated the State of Kansas line from your property tax bill for 2026
- Reduced the 2026 budget by 5.4 percent to leave more dollars in your household budget
Children and Families
- Approved record education funding for our K-12 schools with a Blueprint for Literacy to improve kids’ reading proficiency
- Added millions more to special education funding
- Doubled the state income tax credit for childcare expenses
- Modernized our laws to protect kids from digital predators by banning the use of artificial intelligence to create illicit images of children
- Enacted the Help Not Harm Act to protect children from gender-altering surgeries and hormones
- Enhanced the Children's Health Insurance Program by improving newborn screening
Empowering the People
- Scheduled a public vote on a state constitutional amendment that would let the people select their Kansas Supreme Court justices rather than allowing a small group of unelected lawyers and legal elites to control the judicial appointment process
- Approved a proposed constitutional amendment to safeguard the ballot box by ensuring that only U.S. citizens vote in Kansas elections
- Cut bureaucratic red tape to accelerate job creation and strengthened laws protecting individual liberties
